Lets Get Quilty With It

So I already knit. I already sew. I already scrapbook. I cannot draw to save my life. Photography is so not my thing... for future reference, my boyfriend is probably going to be taking almost all pictures that go on here. If they are really blurry/parts are cut off then most likely I took the picture. I have pretty much run out of crafts.

So I have decided to start quilting. I got inspired when on a trip to Joannes to buy a new cable needle, I saw all the pretty fabrics and then spent a whole night trolling quilt blogs and getting really excited. It was not until I walked to a grocery store in what was basically a baby blizzard and realized that Flagstaff is going to be really cold and snowy and not great conditions for going outside for about 2 months, that I really decided to take up a new craft.

I texted my mom telling her that maybe possibly I may need her to bring my sewing machine out when she comes to visit. Because my mom loves me so much that she would drive 8 hours just to drop off my sewing machine. What a good mommy.

So I am going to start quilting. In my tiny dorm room. Hopefully my roommate doesn't mind it.

Should be interesting! Keep you posted!!

Hi You, This is Me

My name is Laura Hill, I am a college freshman at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. About me... well I am 18 years old, from Southern California. I love to read, knit, listen to country music, and enjoy life.

Here is the part that most people freak about. I am only 18 years old and 7 months ago, I met the love of my life. It was instant and irrevocable and perfect. I just happened to be lucky that he felt the same. We had an instant connection from day one. After one month, we were in love, and within four months, we knew that we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives.

Yes yes, I am sure you are currently thinking, uh huh, sure... yeah totally... mmhmm...of course you are going to stay together. It's okay. It is the reaction most people give. Heres the thing. We are not two dumb naive kids who are in puppy love and think that forever is a given. We are clear eyed adults who know what we want and what we want is each other. Believe me, or don't believe me, that is totally fine! If you do, I hope you enjoy the blog of the fun times I love having with him, if you don't, I hope you enjoy the blog of the fun times I have with him, as well as random bits about my life.

It is a wonderful thing meeting the person you want to marry and spend the rest of your life with early. It means that I am going to get to spend a lifetime of love with the perfect man for me. I get a life partner to share my hopes and my dreams and my success and failure with. I get to experience everything life has to offer, by his side. We are taking things slow, but although we are not rushing into anything, our love grows with each passing day.

I am no idiot. I am perfectly aware that there is always a chance that things don't work out how you plan them. I agree, but the thing is that everything in my life can change and not go as planned, but this will not be one of them. I am not sure of much, but I am sure that Michael will be in my life until death do us part.

More about me... well lets see.

I love projects. Love them. I have the classic knitter tendency of having tons of projects going on at once while simultaneously trying to find more projects to start. So there will be lots of project posts about knitting or whatever else I happen to get into.

There is a little about me. Hope you like seeing all of the crazy that my life consists of.
